Josh Navidi determined to take Rugby World Cup chance with Wales
Josh Navidi says he is determined to get the most out of his own World Cup experience after representing hiscrazy journey to the Wales side.
His debut was created by the Cardiff Blues back-rower in 2013 the side of Warren Gatland, but had to wait four years for his next cap.
Navidi is a standard for Wales and will begin their pool match on Wednesday and this will see them qualify for your quarter-finals with a triumph against Fiji.
It has been crazy, explained Navidi. A couple of months ago I did take a step back and consider doing it. In case youd said to me personally that Id be playing in this World Cup, I likely would not have thought you.
Its great to be here adopting it and taking the chance. Hopefully I continue playing and can keep the jersey.
Its gone well. I understand the jersey can be removed you so I just need to adopt it. You have to take it as you can and hold on to it for as long as you can.
Gatland is effusive in his praise for Navidi and states the 28-year-old has been enquired about by some of the coaches on the planet.
The head coach said:He runs hard, tackles difficult, does the basics well and doesnt make many mistakes.
I remember speaking to John Mitchell [England defence trainer ] afterwards we played England at home, and he said that the England boys have a good deal of admiration for him as a player. I is appreciation of quality.
A few years back - I believe that it was just one of Joshs primary games when we played the All Blacks - and - Steve Hansen stated:where did you receive this number from?
We are very blessed in that section. Weve got some true quality loose forwards who are all capable of doing work, and theres some real rivalry.
