Justin Thomas and Danny Lee tied for lead at CJ Cup in South Korea
Danny Lee capitalised to a Mistake from Justin Thomas to Catch a share of the lead Going into the final round of This CJ Cup in South Korea.
A swing in the 18th watched Lee hole a long-lived eagle, making the group tied to 15 beneath at Nine Bridges and Thomas make bogey after knocking on his approach.
Thomas, chasing a second win in 3 years at the big event, mixed six birdies with four bogeys while Lee moved into a share of this advantage with a four-under 68.
Cameron Smith is three strokes off the pace in third and Wyndham Clark that a further shot back into tied-fourth ahead and leads the chasing pack.
Beginning the day with a two-shot lead, Thomas bounced back by a bogey at the par-three second to hole a 20-footer in the fringe at the second and then birdie the ninth to make it to the turn in 35.
After finding trees off the tee byeong Hun An briefly moved alongside Thomas following a a front-nine 34 using a chip-in birdie at the 10th, only to triple-bogey another.
Until falling three shots at the first two holes of the back nine, as Thomas posted birdies either side of a blemish lee obtained within one of the guide.
Thomas rolled to keep his edge over Lee, who birdied the 12th and 15th, only to discover the water with his next shot to the par-five last.
The 2017 winner got up and down to avoid falling more than 1 shot and discovered that the rough at the rear of the green, as Lee drained a 60-footer from more than a ridge.
Set Ian Poulter and Tyrrell Hatton are off the pace in tied-seventh that also includes Graeme McDowell along with US Open winner Gary Woodland, while world No 1 Brooks Koepka withdrew before the round after aggravating a knee injury.
