QuikTrip 500: Odds, prediction, sleepers, drivers to watch for 2019 race
Last week, NASCAR hosted its largest event of the year in the Daytona 500, and it was about as unpredictable as one could expect.Denny Hamlin, a guy known as a king of the restrictor-plate races, took home the win as a huge crash knocked out a massive portion of the field down the stretch.
This week there will be kings on the monitor as racing begins.
Kevin Harvick is your favored that is clear at 4/1 odds with two career wins over the track and eight top-10 finishes in his last 10 races there. While Busch also has five top 10s in his last 10 races and two wins at AMS, kyle Busch and Joey Logano both have 6/1 odds. Logano has no wins, but four finishes.
And while Martin Truex Jr. and Brad Keselowski can get lost in the shuffle, they are more than formidable in Georgia.
Who wins? Kyle Larson is due for a win, although it may be foolish to choose against Harvick. The 26-year-old went with a triumph season, but Atlanta would be the spot for him to find Victory Lane. Larson includes three top-10 finishes and a second place finish in five career races at AMS.
